IELTS Mock Test in Nagpur: Full Computer-Format Practice at Home

A full mock test is the closest you can get to test day without paying the exam fee. On IELTS Learning you can sit one from your own desk in Nagpur, on a screen that behaves like the computer-delivered IELTS, and see your Listening and Reading bands the moment you finish.

  • 15 full mock tests
  • 88 Listening and 52 Reading practice sets
  • AI band feedback on Writing and Speaking
  • 1-to-1 teacher sessions from ₹299

Why a full mock matters more than another practice set

Practice sets build skills. A full mock tests something else: whether you can keep those skills working for nearly three hours in a row. Many students do well in a single Reading passage and then run out of time on the third. Others are sharp in Listening but tired by the time they write Task 2.

An IELTS mock test shows you:

  • your realistic band in each module, under time pressure;
  • where your concentration drops;
  • whether your timing plan for Reading and Writing actually works;
  • how comfortable you are with the computer screen itself.

How our mock tests work

Each mock contains all four sections, Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, on your chosen track, Academic or General Training. The screen follows the computer-delivered format:

  • a timer visible at all times;
  • a question navigator so you can jump between questions;
  • flag for review for questions you want to come back to;
  • a highlighter and notes for Reading passages;
  • drag-and-drop for Matching Headings and word-box summaries.

Listening and Reading are marked instantly, with a band score and a list of every answer. Writing gets an AI-estimated band for each of the four criteria with comments. Speaking prompts are timed like the real test, and you get AI feedback on your transcript.

There are 15 full mocks with Full Access, and a complete free sample mock, all four sections, that needs no card.

Sitting a mock under real conditions in Nagpur

A mock only tells the truth if you treat it like the real thing. At home that takes a little planning.

  1. Choose the time. The real test usually begins in the morning. Sit your mock then too. In Nagpur summers, a morning start also keeps you clear of the hottest part of the day.
  2. Charge everything. Keep your laptop fully charged and your phone ready as a hotspot, so a power cut or a router problem does not end the test halfway.
  3. Use wired or good wireless headphones for Listening, and tell your family you cannot be interrupted for the next few hours.
  4. No pausing. If you pause Listening or look up a word in Reading, the score is no longer a real band.
  5. Write Task 1 and Task 2 in one hour, managing the split yourself, as you will on the day.
  6. Do Speaking aloud. Speak to the screen as if an examiner were sitting opposite. Whispering does not count.

Using your results

The score is only the start. After each mock:

  • open your Listening and Reading answers and sort mistakes into types: spelling, a missed distractor, a NOT GIVEN confusion, running out of time;
  • check the Mistake Notebook, which saves your wrong answers automatically, and review it before your next mock;
  • read the Writing feedback criterion by criterion. If Coherence and Cohesion is lower than the rest, your next week's work is paragraphing and linking, not vocabulary;
  • use the Band Score Calculator to see what overall band your section scores produce, since overall is rounded.

If something in Writing or Speaking puzzles you, a short 1-to-1 online session with a teacher, from ₹299, can explain it in minutes.

How many mocks, and when

There is no magic number, but a pattern works for most students:

  • One at the very start, to find your level.
  • One every week or two while you work on weak areas with practice sets.
  • Two or three in the final fortnight before your test, spaced a few days apart so you can review each one properly.

Taking a mock every day is usually a mistake. You repeat the same errors without time to fix them.

Questions from students in Nagpur

Is the free IELTS mock test a full test?

Yes. The free sample includes all four sections, Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, in the same computer format as the paid mocks. You do not need to enter card details to take it.

Are the band scores from a mock test accurate?

Listening and Reading bands are calculated from your correct answers in the same way as the real test, so they are a reliable guide if you sat the mock under real conditions. Writing and Speaking bands are AI estimates, which are useful for spotting weaknesses but not an official score.

Should I take the computer-delivered or paper IELTS in Nagpur?

Both are marked the same way. If you type faster than you write and are comfortable on screen, computer delivery often feels easier, and our mocks will help you decide. Check which formats are offered at sessions in and around Nagpur on the official booking sites.

Can I take a mock on my phone?

The platform works on phones, which is handy for practice sets. For a full mock, a laptop or desktop is better, because the real computer test uses a large screen, a keyboard and a mouse.

How soon before my test should I take my last mock?

Two or three days before is usually ideal. That leaves time to review it without exhausting yourself on the day before the exam.
