Two ways to get ready
Classroom coaching means a fixed batch, a fixed time and a teacher in the room. Online preparation with IELTS Learning means you practise on your own schedule with realistic tests and instant feedback, and book a 1-to-1 online session with an IELTS teacher when you need a human opinion. We are an online platform, not a coaching centre, so we have no batches or classrooms in Rajkot. That is a real difference, and you should weigh it.
Where a classroom batch really helps
- Structure for students who need it. If you know you will not open a laptop without a timetable and a teacher waiting, a batch gives you that push.
- Live speaking with classmates. Group speaking practice is useful, especially if nobody at home speaks English with you.
- Questions answered on the spot. Some learners simply prefer face-to-face explanation.
The limits are just as real. A batch moves at one pace, so a student aiming for 6.0 and one aiming for 7.5 get the same lesson. Writing feedback is often brief because one teacher marks many scripts. And many classes practise on paper, while most candidates now sit the computer-delivered test.
Where online practice plus a teacher is stronger
- Volume of realistic practice. 15 full mock tests, 88 Listening sets and 52 Reading sets on screens that behave like the computer-delivered IELTS.
- Feedback on every attempt. Each Writing task gets an AI-estimated band on all four criteria with comments, and each Speaking answer gets AI feedback on the transcript.
- Time spent where you are weak. Your Mistake Notebook saves wrong answers automatically, so your revision is about your own errors, not the class average.
- A human when it counts. Book a Teacher gives you about 20 minutes, 1-to-1, from ₹299, ideal for a speaking mock or a review of your Task 2 essays.
The Rajkot factor: time on the road
Rajkot is compact compared with Ahmedabad, but a daily class still takes more time than the hour on the timetable. Count it for yourself:
- Riding from Mavdi or Raiya Road to a class across town at peak time, through the traffic around the main circles and the 150 Feet Ring Road.
- Fuel for the scooter, parking, and the summer afternoons when nobody wants to be out on the road.
- For students in Gondal, Morbi or Jetpur, a bus or car trip into the city that can take up most of an evening.
If a class takes 90 minutes plus 40 minutes of travel, five days a week, that is more than three hours a week on the road. Online, those hours go into practice. For people who work in the industrial areas at Shapar or Metoda, or who help in the family shop, that saved time is often the deciding factor.
Who each option suits
A classroom batch may suit you if you are early in your English learning, you need someone to keep you on schedule, and you live close to a class.
Online preparation suits you if you already have a working level of English, you have college or a job with changing hours, you want lots of practice in the computer-delivered format, or you live outside the city.
A mix suits many people. Some Rajkot students attend a short classroom course for the basics, then switch to online mocks and teacher sessions in the final weeks to test themselves under exam conditions.
A checklist for any IELTS coaching course, ours included
- Is the practice in the real format? Ask whether mocks follow the official structure and timing, and whether you can practise on a computer-style screen.
- How is Writing marked? You need feedback against the four official criteria, not just a number.
- How much Speaking time is yours? Ask how many minutes per week you personally speak, with feedback.
- Is anyone promising a band? No honest course can guarantee a score. Treat any guarantee as a warning sign.
- Is the price clear? Know what is included, for how long, and what costs extra.
Try it before you decide
You can start free with no card: take a full sample mock and try the free Listening and Reading sets on the practice tests page. Full Access is ₹999 for 2 months in one payment, and teacher sessions are booked separately when you want them. Many people try online IELTS coaching this way first, then decide whether they still want a classroom.
