Common questions
Is this affiliated with IDP, British Council, or Cambridge Assessment?
No. IELTS Online is an independent practice platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by the official IELTS test partners, and all questions, passages, and audio scripts here are originally written for this project.
Is my score on this site the same as my real IELTS band?
Listening and Reading are scored using the same band-conversion approach the real test uses, so they're a close estimate. Writing and Speaking feedback is generated by AI against the official band descriptors — useful for practice, but not a substitute for an examiner.
What can I try for free?
You get one free full mock test plus a set of free sample questions across every module with no card required. Full Access unlocks the full test library, study notes, video lectures, and the AI-scored Writing and Speaking tools.
What are the free resource pages?
The Vocabulary, Grammar, Band Score, and Practice Tests guides linked above are open to everyone, account or not — a starting point before you dive into timed practice.
